  As a loyal JW, what made you to start doubting the Watchtower ???

  i'm sure all of us were loyal at one time to the watchtower, believing in all of it.

  (some of us probaly hated it from day one as well but, ).

  what were some of the first things that happened or were said, that made you to start doubting it and beginning the loss of your loyalty to the organization ??????.

  What was going through your mind the first time (or early times) you started to question the organization in your head, did you believe this was Satan's doing ??????, did you think you were becoming an apostate ??????, did you feel guilty ??????

  Family stuck in "the truth"

  i often find it difficult to not be able to share some of life's important moments with other family members still stuck in "the truth".

  i'm talking about the things that other people take for granted in this world.

  after fading away 8 years ago, i still struggle with having to turn off my feelings around my family, or keep quiet about certain things they might deem as "worldly".

  the sad thing about this is the JW's view all this as "pagan".

  when the real reason people celebrate these things is to be together with family and loved ones.

  I will bet no one person on this earth thinks at Christmas time "well its time to be pagan again"

  Just another pathetic rule by the Watchtower, the old saying is true, they just don't understand what it's all about.

  How can people sacrifice their whole life ??? what am I saying, I was the same way at one time, luckily tho most of us are out.

  There is a great saying in life, "You can't pick your neighbors, and you can't pick your parents"

  Unfortunately thats just the way it goes.

  WOW, what a sinner you were, i'm amazed they didn't disfellowship you years ago.

  How pathetic can they get ????

  Like I have said many times on this board, there are a lot of people out there, that have never held any type of position in life, crummy job, crummy wife, crummy life period. Then all of a sudden they are an elder and IN CHARGE and loving it. And think the congregation they are in is their own personal cupical for access to Jehovah God/Jesus. And you MUST listen to their counsel.

  Do you feel relieved to be gone ??????

  Welcome to the other crowd, us damn apostates.

  with some interesting changes in jw land ....... - subscriptions only allowed through kingdim hall.

  - internet is more so taboo.

  - the watchtower site, has no history files or unable to read magazines on line, it seems that they will not be using the internet as a tool for preaching.. - new comers into the religion, can sheck out everything on the internet before they get too involved.. so, how will the watchtower be able to increase the numbers (followers) ????????.

  i was at the convention today, and noticed a number of interesting points in the program.. 1cor 10:31; "therefore, whatever you are eating and drinking or doing anything else, do all things to gods glory.

  " they said that everything that we do is up to our conscience, but how would what we are doing reflect on jehovah.

  at the same time they said jehovah is not a dictator.... "pay more than the usual attention.

  answering one of minimus questions, got me thinking, the watchtower must hate the internet, all this info and experiences from all over the world at your fingertips, it's almost like the watchtower had a communist rule over their followers, only telling them what they wanted.. then >>>>>>>>>>.

  i was born into it, and had a rough ride getting out, not much fun growing up having little respect (didn't want to use the hate word) for your parents/family.. i can honestly say my parents had no idea how life works, as is the case for most jw's.. how did you get stuck in it, and how long did it take you to finally walk away (or still trying to) ???

  What Results When JW's Associate ONLY With Fellow JW's?

  i clearly see that jw's are constantly being told to only associate with fellow believers if at all humanly possible.

  there is to be either no association or at the minimum, very little socializing with non-witnesses.

  in your opinion, what does this produce?

  you do not live in the reality of planet earth, you basically live in a fantasy world that does not exist, how did all of us ever get stuck in that ??????

  You have no idea about, real sex, real relationships, real jobs, real life !!!!!!!!!!! the good and the bad.

  You have no decision making of your own (should say very limited, they make some decisions)

  As strange as this sounds, the internet could be the downfall of the Watchtower ........

  So much info and experiences at your fingertips, I'm surprised the Watchtower has not said "Internet is Satanic", give them a couple more years.
